Cool Kong Toy Giveaway

When Ruby and I visited the Kong Factory a few weeks ago, we were given a very special gift for a Raising Ruby reader: A GIANT KONG. Pretty cool, right? I defy even the chompiest of dogs to chew through this big boy!

(Ruby and Raiser not included. Unless you really want us, cause we'd LOVE a vacation!)

Ha, just kidding. Actually, Mark at Kong very generously contributed something even cooler, the new Kong Wobbler!

From the Kong website:

The KONG Wobbler is a KONG-shaped food dispensing toy and feeder that provides a new way to entertain and challenge your dog. The Wobbler sits upright until pushed with a dog's paw or nose, then wobbles, spins and rolls, dispensing treats through a KONG-shaped hole near the top. Dogs quickly learn that motion causes treats to fall out, but the unpredictable movement keeps the toy challenging, even for seasoned Wobbler users.

Fun! My dogs could keep themselves entertained for hours with this.

In addition to the Kong Wobbler, I'm including a fresh Kong toy straight from the factory, a tray to hold your Kong upright if you like to fill and freeze them (we do!), and a cute little Kong key chain, so you can have your very own Kong, too!

(Nosy little yellow puppy on the left not included. Probably. Depends on the day.)

To enter, just submit a comment or email letting me know what your dog (or you!) thinks is cool. Maybe it's unstuffing her favorite stuffed toy (Ruby)...or leaping into a stream for a swim (Kiva)...or when you scratch that special spot under her right ear (ahh, that would be me)!

Every entry will be printed out and the winner will be chosen by a scientific method involving pieces of paper, a wet snoot, and what sticks first.

We'll announce the winner next week. Good luck!

My dogs love long walks by the creek, chasing cows, peanut butter in their kongs and me! Oh, yeah, a scratch on their chests makes that back leg drum a tune!

How cool! Eclipse loves tossing his stuffed toys around, running like a mad-man with his sister and tormenting Kira. Kira loves smelling all the smells and laying at my feet and a good game of tug. Teddy likes chasing anything that moves (sheltie!) and playing fetch with a tennis ball and running beside my bike in the summers :-D

My dachshund, Klaus, loves sleeping in between the window pains of our floor to ceiling window when it's sunny outside, sleeping under the covers at night and playing catch with either his favorite tennis ball or plush wiener dog toys (not to mention eating their ears off and then pulling out as much stuffing as he can).

I would like to leave a comment and enter for this one. I'm just getting a service dog. I should get to meet her in the next few days. But as I have yet to meet her, I'm not sure what is her "cool". But I'm guessing long walks and if she is anything like every other collie I've met, I'll bet that she will love to have the top of her rump scratched.

Pompei's favorite activity would be sniffing for dead stuff, and learning new things..like the best way too remove frozen food from KONGS. :)
Texas's would be digging, running, barking, playing in the water and baths. Yes I did say baths. baths as in get in the tub and soap. Yes he likes it. FUR REAL! :)
Bubbles simple. Sleeping and Car rides :)

What a great pile of things! I did see the new Kong wobbler at the pet store but didn't get it. It does look really fun though.

What really makes Ellie go crazy is in the morning when we go outside and I kick the soccer ball for her. She just LOVES that!

My guide dog in training, Frito, loves to throw her frozen Kong around the room, hoping that beating the heck out of it will dislodge the food quicker! My two much smaller pet dogs like to lurk near Frito to scarf up the crumbs before Frito gets them.

Clive said...

Clive loves seeing his harnass and lead being taken off the hook on the wall - it means he's going out to work with Murray and he really truly loves his work!

At home, he loves playing on the trampoline - jumping on and off it again, over and over with Murray. He loves to hear Murray's laugh and he loves to lick Murray over and over again to show his enjoyment at bouncing on the trampoline!

For treats, he loves his Kong that we bought home from the Guide Dog Training Centre four years ago - its still going strong and is in constant use. He loves trying to lick his favourite treats out of it!

At night he loves to follow Murray around the house and race him up to bed! They both play together and then sleep - with Clive keeping an eye on Murray all night long! Clive's day is always a happy one with his NSLM!

- Murray's Mom

ps-delighted to read that you enjoyed a visit to Ireland! We have been told we sound a bit like the tourist board talking about the country so much but we just really enjoy our trips around the place!

I train seeing eye dogs and am currently between puppies. However I puppy sit frequently and am getting my next puppy June 25th. All of the dogs in my club love putting on their puppy jackets and going to work. Of course, I love putting a jacket on a puppy and taking it to work with me. :)

Just discovered your blog for the first time so thought I would add you to mine and then enter your contest! :)
All my dogs have their funny ways of doing things, but the best is Vance, my puppy intraining, is still very much a puppy lol when I have a group "fetch" session with everyone, Vance will follow but then hurry back so that he can lay down, get in the pounce stance and SPRING at them! So funny and adorable.

My dog loves to cuddle! She has earned her nickname of snuggle bug. She also loves the sound of the clicker knowing that it = a tasty treat for nailing that crossing, weaving around an obstacle, or finding an important destination! How fun to visit hte Kong Factory!

My Bull Terrier, Tazz, loves Bully sticks and quality time. We keep the Bully sticks in the basement and whenever the door opens, he flies down the stairs and waits for the container to open. Sometimes we don't realize that he's down there and he is still sitting patiently at the container when we find him.
He also loves his quality time with our family. He hasn't been getting as much attention lately because I'm writing exams and he is very upset about it. When I come home, he has a conversation with me. He makes all kinds of weird noises as he welcomes me home.
Great giveaway! Give lots of kisses to Ruby!

Oh it looks like miss ruby had a ball at the Kong factory and was so well behaved! I am obsessed with Kong toys and after harry puppy arrived I ordered $200 worth of Kong toys direct from the UK (they are so expensive here in Aust that its so much cheaper to buy o/s and pay freight ontop)! harry thinks that jumping and barking at miss holly kitty is cool - unfortunately neither or miss holly kitty are in agreement with this! lol

Well. Let's see. This needs to be about what we, two fox terriers, think is cool. But Moma's doing the typing tonight (otherwise you might have trouble reading it.) So this is a bit influenced by her opinions. But. All the same. We think it's cool how we get the benefit of all the amazing connections that blogging has created. It's cool to have friends all around the world. It's cool how one blog leads to another. It's cool how we learn about new places to visit, new foods to taste, new adventures to explore. And we think it's cool that Moma talks to us all about this stuff, 'cause it means we get even more special time with her. And she's happy. And that makes us happy. Most of all, it's cool to know that there are hundreds of families out there that "get it." That truly deeply understand their four-leggeds. AND we think it's cool that someday we just might stumble upon you in our own neck of the woods. It's truly a small world. How cool is that?

Love
Jake and Fergi xxoo

This Kong giveaway is fantastic!! We're all keeping our paws crossed that we win! Right now Buster's favorite toy is the poop bag dispenser on his leash. He runs and it "chases" him, then he spins, grabs it, tosses it in the air, hops around like a great big goof ball, shakes it up, all the while growling and barking as appropriate. When it lands on the ground, the entire ritual begins again. :-D The game is over when the top comes off and the roll of poop bags creates a long trail through the yard. I know I shouldn't encourage this behavior, but it's so funny I can't help myself!

We think one of the coolest things is waking up our Mom, every morning, with a big wet kiss on her face. However, at 6:30 am, she's not all that thrilled about it. But the #1 coolest thing on earth would be for you to personally deliver that HUGE kong to us.
Love, Buckley and Cooper

Well, Casey and Riley love getting me up very early as you can see by when I sent this comment. Riley also loves going in my closet when I'm at work and walking around with my shoes. I finally got smart and put velcro on the sliding doors so he can't go in anymore. I can once again go to work without teeth marks on my shoes. And let's not forget how much they love the pool. They go in more than we do. My husband works diligently keeping it clean for their enjoyment. I could go on and on but I think you get the point - they own the house, we just live in it!

WOW - I'm impressed they have a kong holder upper thing to make it easier to freeze kongs. I always make a mess when I try to freeze them. But, the dooooogies love them so much that I just suffer through it! :D Ellie loves to fetch them out of the water.

My dog - also named Ruby - thinks the coolest thing in the world is the laser pointer. She is so addicted that we think we might have to do an intervention soon!

My girls (Labs litter mates)love stuffed socks, I stuff a sock with bit of old socks that they love to pull the stuffing out of. I just put the bits back in and they have a new toy! When the top sock starts looking ratty I stuff it and the other bits in a new old sock.

Pearl, our 10-mo.-old Lab, EATS her fleece toys. Hence, no fleece. :( We should get her a job in dog toy quality control! Maybe, this Kong would do the trick?!

Our puppy, 2 year old Aussie/terrier mix Kylie, still loves to chew and when she's bored things get destuctive. Lately, she's working on the stair steps. She's already made the couch her personal chew toy. Her Kong still lives as long as it isn't outside and burried. If I fill it with peanut butter and freeze it, she will play/lick/chew for hours.

First off.. I love your selection process.lol
My boys have 2 tied for the top favorite in toys.. a hartz sqeeky toy [discontinued of course] that they "play music" with, and a puppy kong. These are only topped in favorite status by company..they love when people come over so they can entertain everyone. Thank you for the chance to win the kong collection.. the boys would love them.
Good luck everyone.

Tashi loves playing with his squeaky bear...gets all riled up and his prey drive kicks in - he'll run, run, run around the living room like a mad dog and then pounce on the bear and beat it into submission and look to me for praise! He also finds it offensive that his Kong has the nerve to move in circles without him, so he'll grab it with his teeth, throw up in the air and when it hits the ground and bounces he'll hop after it and bat it around with his paws - he's back in his puppyhood;) It's a real joy seeing him have so much fun!

I'm not entering for the kong since my pups are at my parents house far away :( but my puppy Rowena loves playing with her siblings at puppy class on Saturdays!!!!

Alfie thinks food and games of fetch are cool...but working is even cooler! (Probably because he's allowed food as a reward while working, haha!) He loves people, other dogs, and just generally has a great time wherever he goes.

As for me? Raising a guide dog is pretty cool I think! ;-)
