A golden/lab service puppy,
born in May 2009.

Raising Ruby is the story of Ruby's journey to become a service dog for an individual with a mobility-related disability.

I'm Christine, Ruby's puppy raiser, and that's my eternally patient, beautiful old gal Kiva smiling beside me.

Ruby (Roo) came to me as a 10-week-old pup, and I raised and trained her until she moved on to enter advanced training in November 2010 at the age of 18 months.



In December 2011, Ruby completed her extensive training and became a service dog with full public access.
