Of course, she had her own idea.

Ha! The rose is fine. Ruby's really good with her "Leave" command.

I never did get the shot, but initiative counts way more than a pretty picture. For hijacking the post, showing mercy on the rose, and giving me the giggles (with yawning supervision by Kiva), cheese was had by all!

This post title made Moma a bit nervous. You see ... she is more than a bit worried that the neighborhood deer and going to come nip all her new plants in the bud! We'll just watch. Cause we think they're cute. Just like Ruby.

A rose by any other name tastes just as sweet.

I looooooove it - so cute!!
I always knew that a good "leave it" would keep my puppy safe. It never occurred to me that it might save my garden.
Now I know what to do the next time Honey tries to eat the blueberries right off the bush!
Ruby is the best. What a sweetie.
Oh my...rose bushes. A couple years ago Paisley got really sick from eating part of a rose bush. The 3 inch piece of stem, she swallowed whole, pierced her small intestine. She had emergency surgery and spent several days in the hospital. Cute photos but they brought back some scary memories of my little pup.
