Someday, it will be very useful things like credit cards, keys, a wallet, or a phone for her future partner. But right now, we are gifted daily with organic (mostly) detritus that she gleefully discovers and dutifully (mostly) forks over when we tell her to "drop." She's quite the retriever inside the house, too, but since this is a family blog, we'll keep the photographic evidence of her partiality to various and sundry unmentionables to ourselves.

Well, it IS Earth Day - and it looks like she is doing her part to clean up the environment:) We seem to like socks here:)
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
This made me laugh :)
ha ha - so adorable. Glad I'm not the only one with a collection of those things! And, I can also totally sympathize with the "household" items!
lol! Love it!
What a beautiful collection sweet Ruby girl :)
That is what great retrievers do! :)

Oh Ruby! That's a nice bit of loot!
Good work.
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

You have such a way with words!!! I love coming to your site daily for a smile....
I'm Ruby's # 1 Fan
This made me laugh out loud! Connie trots into the kitchen when I'm cooking and plops rocks onto the floor. Her little sister, Charlie, favors dead birds and mice. (Though she quickly disposed of the last dead rodent when I couldn't stop screaming. Oy. Live and learn.) We are both very rich, wouldn't you say? :)
Oh Ruby what a funny and good puppy you are! Hope your training is continuing to go well and have fun with your siblings tomorrow at class!
-Rowena's Auntie Katie!
Yes, I've found a few of my
"unmentionables" in the yard. Now, my husband and I always give our yard a good cleaning before company comes. Ruby, Riley says good going!
What a lovely blog you have and cool post!
Thanks for visiting us.

She bears gifts! She probably thought these were useful to you. We used to dog sit a retriever and he'd go into the garbage to get us stuff. :(
I was thinking about beautiful Jazzy the other day, and remembered how sometimes she would just drop a maggoty bone at your feet, or better (worse) still, rub it up against you.
She loved to share.
Haha at what Rub retrieves. I bet all is covered in slobber.
